This is a small selection of the jewellery designs which I created for my degree work in 2009. I used mainly caste sheet acrylic, bio-resin and silver.
The inspiration for the collection was reflections on water, and I used my studies of reflections on water from the Greek Island of Symi and from Bardolino, Lake Garda, Italian lakes.
I utilised the latest CAD software and laser technology to create the fine delicate acrylic pieces. The bio-resin pieces are often embedded with silver, copper, bronze and pewter. The caste silver is produced using the ancient method of casting in cuttlefish.
I found photographing this jewellery very enjoyable - it completed the circle by bringing the 3D designs back into a 2D format: a journey of ideas and exploration.
